Katerina's Bridal Poncho. Katerina had her wedding dress and because it was a Winter wedding, she needed something for warmth. We made a cosy and gorgeous white poncho. When I make wedding dresses for Winter, if the bridal gown doesn't have a sleeve and an overcoat is necessary, length is very important. The wedding dress doesn't;t need a coat or something long. I like something short and warm. It could be a bolero, a poncho or a cropped jacket. I don't want to take the emphasis away from the dress nor do I want to lose the shape of the dress and shorten the bride with a long overcoat or jacket length. When we keep the length of the poncho just below the waist, we keep the elongated length that's created by the wedding dress. We also made Katerina's fascinator from feathers and fabric. We also hand her wedding crowns.
